ROTTERDAM, WE ARE BACK..!!
In 2019 we will come back to Rotterdam. After all the positive reactions of last year the course did everything to keep us in Rotterdam and the succeed. The course will be completely dedicated to FootGolf during the weekend of June 7 - 9, so we can make the Capital Cup a unique event. We hope to welcome you: the best players in the world, the nicest players in the world and the best fans in the world.
Only 15 minutes outside of the city center of Rotterdam you will find Golfcenter Rhoon. The course has 18 golf holes and 6 pitch & putt holes, a cosy club house and a nice restaurant with terras. No doubt you will like it here.
Allthough we understand we will disappoint several players because we move this event, we are sure this course will create an even better experience. The city council, national sport federations, media and big companies are stepping up to take a next step forward.
We look forward to seeing you all in Rotterdam to make this amazing FootGolf year, with a thrilling Euro FootGolf at the end, a FootGolf year to never forget. If you have any questions regarding your stay, travel or participation please let us know. We will be there to help you as much as we can.
Rotterdam, one of the top 10 cities in the world
Futuristic architecture, inspired local initiatives such as inner-city canal surfing, a proliferation of art, and a surge of drinking, dining and nightlife venues make Rotterdam one of Europe's most exhilarating cities right now. The Netherlands' second-largest metropolis has a diverse, multiethnic community, an absorbing maritime tradition centred on Europe's busiest port, and a wealth of top-class museums.
Rotterdam is a veritable open-air gallery of modern, postmodern and contemporary construction. It's a remarkable feat for a city largely razed to the ground by WWII bombers. Rebuilding has continued unabated ever since with ingenuity and vision.
Split by the vast Nieuwe Maas shipping channel, Rotterdam is crossed by a series of tunnels and bridges, notably the dramatic Erasmusbrug – the swooping white cable-stayed bridge dubbed de Zwaan (the Swan). On the north side of the water, the city centre is easily strolled.
Easy to reach from all angles
As you might know the Netherlands isn't a large country. This means that even though we arent playing in our national capital city Amsterdam but in Rotterdam, it is still easy to reach all that our country has to offer.
For example you can use four airports that lay within 2 hours from the course:
The Hague-Rotterdam (0:20), Amsterdam Schiphol (0:50), Lelystad (1:20) and Maastricht-Aachen (1:50).
The 2018 Capital Cup event is not the only venue where people will gather during that weekend. That means that will be enough to do in your spare time, but it will also mean it will not be easy to find a hotel close to the course. Luckily we booked around 100 rooms for you and made great deals with the two hotels that are involved.
